Anna's Tea Party !!
Meri Jaan, while the US Tea Party is already rattling the next Presidential nominations, and the so-called-tea-party movement's in the "rest of the world" are already rocking the Middle East and African nations, apna "Desi Tea party" has turned into a rave party.
Anna Tum Aagey badho - Hum tumhare Saath hain !! Mee Anna Aahey !
When you hear words like these at your work place, at the street corners, on signboards, bridges all across the nation and in your residential community, whatever said and done it is honestly great to see this level of unity for "some movement" in apna yeh unity-in-diversity waala desh!
I am not sure of the outcome of this "jan morcha", but somehow Anna's popularity reminds me of a movie called Main Azaad Hoon.
It is is very less-er known movie. Lots of people may not even be aware that Mr. Amitabh Bachchan was the lead actor in this movie.
The story goes that a group of politicians and newspaper folks come together to create a character called "AZAAD." He is created to boost TRPs of the newspaper and to boost some political agendas.
Azaad is brought in to portray all that is bad in the existing world.
Azaad talks about "Corruption". Azaad talks about "farmers problems", he talks about "educating villagers". Azaad talk about the "education system" and the "mill worker" issues.
Essentially, Azaad becomes a symbol to bring forth problems of the "RK Laxman" man.
What happens is that the newsmedia folks, the judicial counterparts, the politicians are little aware that "Azaad" no longer just stays a name; Azaad becomes a movement, he becomes a Superhero who comes back to hit the same politicians like a boomerang !!
Meri Jaan, I dont know if Anna is a politically created character or is this a fictional work-in real life, par somehow, kuch aisa hi - idhar bhi ho gaya hain.

No Honey - that is the common man- thats Anna Hazare !!
Tou aagey badho Anna - we are with you !!! Aao Aa-jao is corrupt desh pe chaa jaao ! Corruption is one issue, we need to tackle a long list of Anna-nya and Hazar-on Khwaishein aisi ke har khwaish pe dum nikle !!
Meri Jaan, till we meet next, stay safe-from corruption, stay involved-in the movement, and stay in love with Yeh-Mera-INDIA !!!

Another Hard hitting post bhai! Hamare mulk mein bhi aisa revolution is needed. Hopefully someone will learn from such a movement happening in other side of the border.
What a turn of events for the India government. Not a single soul would have thought of such a turn of events. Your observations are right but Anna is for real dost. I am really missing all the action happening in India. Watching on TV and on AVS means nothing really, I am coming by Nov hopefully the movement and the fervor stays till then. Go Anna.

Anna Hazare is new Gandhi for 2011. If Jail bharo was then it is now also. Put all in jail Sonia, Sardar, sons, damaad, mayawati, laaloo, pawars, thakre and all should go to jail. I support Mr. Anna Hazare because he talks against congress govt and strong will like Gandhi only then India can be real free and enjoy freedom from corruption of money and poltics combination
Good post. For people outside India I am asking each citizen to go to your local
consultate offices and tell them to help pass anti corruption bill. Make motto make poster stick all over city this is your

Thanks All. This is definitely an achievement for which the credit goes to the aam janta of India. This crusade against corruption and other issues must go on. I really salute my co-workers, my neighbors, the local grocery guy, doodh waala, bhaji waala, taxi waalas and simple people like us that are participating in making history. Things hopefully will become better in our country, all you need is a beginning.
Pankaj another nice post after the US debt issue. You are right that Anna Hazare is not only a name now, he has become a mass movement. In my 42yrs I have not seen an India so united and together on one issue. So real hats off to this person. I am sure there are ulterior motives but atleast there is some voice apart from the Advani's and all the opposition parties towards the issue of corruption in India. Now, I will definitely go and see the movie that you mentioned.

It really makes you think does'nt it that why so suddenly in the last 10 months these people movements have gathered so much mass? Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen, Jordan, Libya, India, China and yes like you said the Tea party here in US. It is just unbelievable to see such mass people protests all around the world. Hopefully in India this will not just end at candle protests and something actually will happen.
Main Azaad Hoon was a great movie - thanks for reminding. Need to revisit and what a song Aao aaajo jitney baajoo - one of AB's best.
You are really a big Bachchan buff, I have not even heard of such a movie. Did it ever get released or you saw some private screening? I dont know about the movie but Team Anna's movement is really incredible.

Good morning Sir, I can tell you that Anna Hazare is a very good man and he is doing the right thing. Somebody has to stand and fight these politicans and the corruption, so he is doing the right thing by fasting for the real reasons. I think he will win in the end. Jai Hind

Anna has won but what is going to happen? You think corruption will go away? 100yrs ka corruption hain bhai aise nahin jaayega - Sharad Pawar, Lalu Yadav, Jaylalita, Mayawati, Sonia, Manmohan Singh, Ajit Pawar, Sharad Yadav, we can keep counting the names and it will never end.
